What to see around PARIS
N ° 1 in the rental of motorhomes and campervans in France since 1979, AVIS explore offers a wide range of motorhomes that you can come and discover in our agency in the Paris region, in Rueil-Malmaison, in West of Paris.
From Rueil-Malmaison, the choice of destinations is varied. We suggest you a Norman getaway in the direction of Honfleur, ideal for a weekend or a longer stay, because the riches of the region are numerous! Perfect for a change of scenery aboard your motorhome.
As you follow the Seine, you will discover many gems, perfect for taking a break from everyday life and feeling on vacation.
First step towards the Natural Park of Vexin Françaiswith the valley of the Seine whose view is breathtaking from the heights of the limestone cliffs. For lovers of Impressionism, a detour to Auvers-sur-Oise is a must. Then the castle of La Roche-Guyon will be able to welcome you for a bucolic picnic. A visit to Giverny is also recommended to discover Claude Monet's house and its extraordinary garden, which in spring is like a living, magnificent canvas.
Rouen, its many churches and superb half-timbered houses, will delight you before reaching the seaside and Honfleur via the loops of the Seine.
Honfleur is truly adorable with its Vieux Bassin, bordered by its houses with their characteristic slate-covered facades. You will find many restaurants around the basin and a series of small shops with undeniable charm.
After your stay in Honfleur, you can either head north towards Etretat and its legendary cliffs or continue exploring the coast to the landing beaches via Trouville, Deauville, Cabourg, Ouistreham to Arromanches-les-Bains.
If you opt for Etretat, crossing the Normandy bridge will offer you a splendid view on the Seine estuary. Then from the top of the cliffs of the Alabaster Coast, you will have a majestic view of the Channel and the famous arches of Etretat, which you can also approach by sea, why not by paddle from the nautical center.
If your choice is the discovery of the landing beaches east of Honfleur, the coast road is magnificent marked by the mythical towns of Deauville and its superb residences; Cabourg, a typical Belle Epoque seaside resort, and Ouistreham from which the landing beaches are successively strung out: Sword Beach, Juno Beach, Gold Beach, Omaha Beach and Utah Beach. The memorials and museums retracing this famous episode of the Second World War are numerous and very rich, educational and emotional.
There is no doubt that your journey in a motorhome from our agency in Paris to Normandy will be varied and a source of many memories.
