No other town in Provence offers as many cultural events, smells, colors, and places to visit. The « Canebière », Marseille's « main street » strechs east of the old port, where boats have been berthing for more than 26 centuries. North of the old Port, the City Hall, a XVIIe century buiding is next to the Roman docks museum and the Old Marseille Museum. Day 2 in Provence: The Blue Coast

On the Blue coast, at the heart of Martigues area, lies a hidden gem : the Carro village. A great starting point to explore Provence. The city council has recently opened a vast parking area for motorhomes with about 150 dedicated parking spots. Located between the small fishing port and the see, you will be able to enjoy the scenery directly from your motorhome ! Strolls in the village, local products markets, swim in the sea are only some examples of what you will be able to do there.

Triangle shaped by Rhones delta, Camargue is a wild yet beautiful wetland, home of a rich and abundant wildlife. Camargue Regional Natural Park encompasses the whole wetland area.

If you like birds, a walk in the ornithological park in Pont-de-Gau will delight you. At the northern tip of the delta, Arles plunges you into its past as a Roman city. The painter Van Gogh lived there and was inspired by it. The fishing village of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, on the coast, is a place of pilgrimage for the gypsies of Europe. Stroll along the ramparts of the fortified town of Aigues-Mortes, to the west of the delta; at your feet lie the salt marshes, a delicate pink colour.

Day 4: The Luberon and its most beautiful hilltop villages

Cross this splendid colorful massif and reach one of the most beautiful villages in France: Roussillon. The ocher tone of its facades, from the famous deposit, reveals authentic Provencal buildings.
